In September 2006 we saw our property for the first time. The owner, Maria Antonia, was running an avocado tree business on the property and there was an orchard of about 800 avocado trees, as well as 200 citrus trees. Her greenhouse also housed hundreds of avocado & citrus plants. So our first impressions of the property were that it was luxuriously green – considering the fact that Baja California is arid and dry. But we also thought that the property was too big, and not what we were really looking for. (At the time we were searching for a smaller residential property hopefully with an existing house on it.)
